Aggadah FAQs

AGGADAH IS A 21+ WEEKEND

DO I HAVE TO BE JEWISH? WILL I BE UNCOMFORTABLE IF I’M NOT?
Absolutely not. This is a Jewish summer camp weekend for people who identify as Jewish, Jew(ish), or are just Jewish-adjacent.  We will celebrate Shabbat in the Herzl way – caravan in white, services overlooking the lake, delicious meals and a restful schedule. We welcome you and any friends with open minds who want to experience Jewish summer camp!

WILL I FIT IN IF I DIDN’T GO TO HERZL?
Yes!  This is a new camp just for 20s and 30s – every one of us will be first-time campers.  Can’t wait to go to camp with you!

WILL I HAVE INTERNET ACCESS?
Yes, wi-fi and cell service works at camp. That said, we’re at camp (!) so let’s connect the old-school way – face to face!  If you need to connect for work or family, fine, but leave the screen in your room unless it’s an emergency.

CAN I STAY WITH MY FRIEND(S) AND/OR PARTNER?
Yes, please include any bunk requests on your registration form. If for some reason, we can’t accommodate your request, we’ll call you to discuss before assigning your bunk.

ARE CABINS SINGLE-GENDER OR CO-ED?
You can sign up for a single gender cabin or a co-ed bunk.  Tell us your preference in your bunk request during registration.

CAN I BRING MY PET?
Sorry, animals are not allowed.

ARE ACTIVITIES MANDATORY?
Absolutely not. All activities are optional. We hope that you plan to join in as many activities as you can, but attendance is never required. Feel free to participate as much or as little as you’d like.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO CAMP?
Children are not allowed. Aggadah is meant for young adults (20s and 30s) and you must be 21 to attend.  That said, we have two great family camp options for you and your kids!

CAN I LEAVE CAMP?
We will have everything that you need for the weekend on-site, and we strongly encourage you to stay for the full experience. If you want to head into town, you’re welcome to do so after letting a staff member know.

CAN I ARRIVE LATE OR LEAVE EARLY?
You can but we don’t recommend it and you won’t get a discount. But, we understand that some people have time restrictions and we will welcome you warmly whenever you arrive or miss you if you have to leave early.

CAN I COME ALONE?
Yes, not to worry. Aggadah is the perfect place to make new friends.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
