"We had the best time! Our daughter, Nora, was sobbing when it was time to leave, saying, "I'm not leaving Herzl!" The staff was really wonderful and made it such a great experience for everyone."
- Lindsay, 2014 Family Camper

Family Camp weekend is a meaningful vacation for families, parents and grandparents. Family Camp’s relaxed atmosphere provides a unique opportunity to share the magic of Herzl Camp as a family. It is a perfect way to introduce future campers to the Herzl experience, a chance for current campers to introduce their parent(s) to Herzl Camp and a way for all families to experience Jewish camping together.

Adults (ages 16+) $130 pp
Children (ages 8-15) $80 pp
Children 7 and under are free

Cost includes lodging for 3 nights in a shared cabin*, all meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast and activities.

*Alternate lodging options available on a first come, first served basis. Cost for alternate lodging is included on the online registration form.

Family Camp is filled with fun family activities for children, parents and grandparents. Highlights of the schedule:

Thursday - After you arrive, choose from these activities as a family: rock climbing, swimming, boating, basketball, tennis, or gaga. After dinner, family groups gather together at bonfires for singing and s'mores!

Friday - After breakfast, everyone gathers together for one of our favorite Family Camp traditions...braiding the challah that we will enjoy together at dinner. The rest of the day is spent enjoying family activities including water games, art, basketball, drama, or Ultimate Frisbee. Shabbat begins with the traditional Herzl Caravan followed by family-friendly services overlooking the lake.

Saturday - After services, adults and kids go their separate ways for programming by age and little free time for the adults. In the afternoon, families can choose additional activities to do together. Saturday evening begins with Havdallah led by our teen campers and ends with our annual Family Camp Dance.

Sunday - Enjoy some free time while kids are engaged in programming by age before heading home!
